About us

Culture is not a niche in city life, but an important part of the feeling of life and an indicator of quality of life. It allows us to wonderfully step out of the daily routine from time to time and provides comforting moments of lightness.

The city of Lienz places great value on providing visitors of events with a diverse range. In the cultural program, I focus on a thematic breadth and invigorating contrasts. My goal is to combine quality and diversity in a well-dosed manner - serious and humorous, from local and foreign artists. The annual program includes around 40 events.

Standstill is regression, especially in culture. That"s why I dare to try new things alongside the proven ones. In between, there can certainly be room for unconventional offers beyond high culture. Diversity does not mean arbitrariness. Culture doesn"t have to be elitist, it should be open to everyone. Everyone is included, everyone is warmly invited. I want to share my enthusiasm for cultural experiences with as many target groups as possible.

I want to convey to people that events are a lively place of encounter and exchange. Culture also has something connecting. And I want to break down inhibitions for those who have had nothing to do with culture so far. That"s why I am happy about the familiar audience as well as every new face!
